"Centenary of Human Population Genetics"


About conference
This year marks the centenary of human population genetics.
The study discovered genetic variability in human populations was published in the Lancet journal a hundred years ago (Hirschfeld and Hirschfeld, 1919) and it is unanimously recognized by scientists as the date of birth of our science

Abstracts selected by the Program Committee for oral presentations will be published in the Russian Journal of Genetics (included in the Web of Science Core Collection). A poster session will also be organized. Abstracts of both oral and poster presentations will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Dear conference participants,
To get into the building of the Faculty of biology of Moscow State University on May 29 you need to have a printed invitation (with the logo of the conference), which will be sent to you by e-mail. If you can't print the invitation, the guard will let you in after he finds your name on the list, but it will take a few minutes and could create a queue. The entrance on the following days will be carried out by badges, which you will receive at the registration.

Registration
The registration opens at 8:30 on May 29 at the faculty of biology of Moscow State University (Leninskie Gory str., 1, p. 12). To register, please show an Invitation or a clearly written your name.
Accommodation
The recommended hotel ("Universitetskaya") is located within walking distance from Biology Department of MSU.

There are available rooms for conference participants, but you need to contact the hotel yourself to book a room.

In the morning of May 31, the bus transfer from the hotel "Universitetskaya" to the Vavilov Institute of General Genetics will be offered.

Oral presentations requirements
The official language of the conference is English

The requirements for oral presentations: 12 min for the presentation and 3 min for questions. Please note that due to the very full schedule, we will be forced to stick to the rules.

Presentation requirements: file format - *.pptx, slide format - 16:9, in English.

Please send your presentation to e-mail info@centenary-popgene.com till May 24. The synchronous translation will be provided for your presentations, and translators need to read in advance.
Video recording
Dear speakers, please note that the reports will be filmed and then posted on YouTube. Therefore, if your presentation contains slides with information not for distribution, please mark them with a sign (link) in the corner and we will remove these slides from the video.
Poster presentations requirements
The requirements for poster presentations: format A0 (A1 is also allowed), language — English. Pins will be available on site.
Conference dinner
In the evening of May 29, a conference dinner will be held on the ship plying the Moscow river. Dinner tickets must be booked in advance on the conference website till May 20.

Before the dinner, you can look around Moscow from the observation point of the Moscow State University and go down to the ship by cable car. The ship will take us to Zaryadye Park and Red square (Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral). Return to the hotel by transfer or taxi.
